Academic Programs

The Student Disability Center (SDC) is responsible for providing and funding academic accommodations for currently registered UC Davis students with documented disabilities verified through the SDC. These include accommodations for all courses required by a student’s academic degree program. Accommodations may include, but are not limited to, sign language interpreting, real-time captioning, alternative format for course materials and additional time for completing examinations. Students should request these accommodations directly through the SDC.

Other Programs and Activities

University departments and student groups that sponsor activities are responsible for providing reasonable accommodation to any eligible participant with a disability. The sponsoring group is also responsible for all event related costs, including the costs of funding any accommodations that are necessary to provide persons with disabilities access to the event. Events include, but are not limited to: meetings, conferences, lectures, workshops, rallies, athletic competitions, and entertainment and social functions.
